Description
Quirino, Sometime before its proper creation as an autonomous area, it was the woodland district of the territory of Nueva Vizcaya, possessed by inborn gatherings known as the Negritos. They meandered the hinterlands and fabricated their cottages at the core of the wilderness.

Language/Dialect

History
Quirino region gained its juridical character because of the division of the areas of Nueva Vizcaya and Isabela on June 18, 1966 under RA 4734. It was named to pay tribute to the late President Elpidio A. Quirino.
On June 21, 1969, RA 5554 was sanctioned, correcting RA 4734 and making the region of Cabarroguis, presently the capital town of Quirino, which was taken from segments of Diffun, Saguday, and Aglipay.
RA 6394 was passed on September 10, 1971 further altering RA 5554 and isolating the sub-territory of Quirino from its mom area, Nueva Vizcaya, establishing it into a normal region. Hon. Leonardo B. Perez wrote RA 6394.
The area of Quirino was officially settled on February 10, 1972 upon the supposition to office of the main chosen common and metropolitan authorities headed by Dionisio A. Sarandi as Provincial Governor.
On February 25, 1983, Batas Pambansa Blg. 345 was authorized, making inside Quirino the district of Nagtipunan, a division of the region of Maddela.

Cleanest River
Quirino is home to the Cagayan Valley Region’s consistent Cleanest River awardee, National Level competition. The river is conducive for swimming, boating, kayaking, white river rafting, fishing, and navigating from one province of the region to another.

1. Aglipay Town
A history-loaded town that got its name from Fr. Gregorio Aglipay, a cleric having a place with the Philippine Independent Church who defied the Spanish colonizers and settled at the banks of the town’s Addalam River

2. Nagbukel Caves
