Calaguas Island: Nature’s Peacefulness Cradle

Source : https://looloo.com/r/5xvn

Various beaches were scattered all over the shores of the Philippine archipelago and continuously lures tourists from within and outside the country.  Crystal clear waters, fine white sands and many magnificent types of scenery were promised by these.  But, infamous beaches like Boracay Island have an undeniable problem when it comes to their natural aspect.

Because of their popularity, nationally or globally recognized beaches were crowded up by people distorting the areas’ natural beauty.  Man-made structures were built all around these beaches and various artificial innovations were done.  But, far away from the main cities of the country hides uniquely secluded islands that quietly cradle the peacefulness of nature away from the destructive hands of man.

The Mahabang Buhangin Beach of Calaguas Island in the region of Bicol is one of nature’s cradles for its serenity and beauty away from crowding tourists.  Crystal glass-like waters and white sand which is said to be finer than those that can be found in Boracay is one of the main attractions of the island.  The obvious difference that can be observed at one glance is the absence of crowding people and man-made structures which makes the Calaguas a perfect spot to appreciate nature’s beauty.

At a very low rate of 20php per person for Baranggay fee and 50php for camping fee, visitors may enjoy the Mahabang Buhangin beach which was perfectly conserved and maintained naturally.  People may stay in naturally made huts with fees ranging from 150php to 200php only during their stay.

With a 9hour travel from Metro Manila to Vinzons Port in Camarines Norte and a couple of hour on the boat, tourists may reach the hidden paradise and enjoy the peacefulness of Calaguas island.  A perfect place for a free time getaway for relaxation, unwind and bond with loved ones within the stillness of nature.
