Winnie the Pooh and its cast are timeless and is love by almost everyone for more than ninety years now. Winnie the Pooh is not just famous to the kids but to almost everyone because it does not only share there adventure but also quotes that are relevant at every stage of life. Below are some interesting Winnie the Pooh backgrounds that you might not know until now.

  1. Winnie the Pooh is based on a real black bear cub that was purchased by a Canadian soldier named Harry Colebourn from a hunter during WWI. He named his pet Winnie after his hometown Winnipeg, Manitoba. The cub became the troops mascot and when he left for France he left it at the London Zoological Gardens. It is where A.A. Milne’s son Christopher Robin fell in love with the bear so much that he named his ow teddy bear after her.
